WooTheme developed the free WooCommerce plugin, which can make your WordPress Ecommerce a true multi-functionality

We all know (Content Management System) CMS e-commerce such as: Prestashop, Magento, OpenCart, OsCommerce, etc... But if you're a fan of WordPress then quickly discover the WooCommerce plugin and turn your site into a true online Ecommerce worthy specialized CMS.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce, WordPress Plugin

WooCommerce is primarily a WordPress plugin that adds functionality to your Ecommerce website. You can benefit from a true online store for:
  • The sale and management of your products
  • Using a payment system (Paypal, CB)
  • Your sales statistics
  • Specific plugins (best sellers, promotions, etc.)
  • The calculation of transport costs and taxes
  • Managing your inventory
  • Etc...

WooCommerce is compatible with all themes. Therefore, even if you enable the extension on your current theme, it will work! It's the same with the famous Twenty Eleven and Twenty Ten originally supplied with WordPress.

However, WooThemes has developed several perfectly compatible themes that bring maximum complementarity between the plugin and theme.

You will also find many e-commerce quality themes in Themeforest.

My Conclusion about WooCommerce

There are alternatives (WP e-Commerce) but nothing comparable to the WooCommerce perspective ecommerce themes and extensions. For ecommerce WordPress, WooCommerce is a notch above, it is an excellent free plugin to easily create a shop full e-commerce, which pales in comparison to face yet specialized competitors.

To improve or enhance your shop, WooThemes offers dozens of additional plugins, for example: add a countdown timer, flash sales, product galleries, slide products. To qualify, you will need to hand in his pocket, from $29 to $129 for the most expensive.

Another detail that is important, one of the paid plugins that manages the rules Blue Card, it is Ogone, price about $79.

In short, Woo is recommended if your product references do not exceed 1000 units, beyond that, I think it is better to turn to the giants of the genre, though...

WooCommerce is an excellent ecommerce plugin to easily create a shop in complete WordPress and does not pale in comparison to competitors.
